Who We Are

The Pines Preservation Guild is the historic preservation non-profit organization serving all of Moore County NC with a mission to save the county’s heritage buildings and promote sensitive, sustainable community development around these heritage places. We are a community-driven organization composed of county residents and business owners that believe historic preservation and community development are intertwined and that we have a unique opportunity to build a better community for all Moore County residents, present and future, through education and advocacy for each of these concepts

We achieve this mission through:⁣

  • sharing potential historic preservation projects in the region⁣

  • showing superior examples of restored/preserved properties⁣

  • providing an educational series on preservation topics and techniques to area residents and business owners

  • sharing at-risk heritage properties and communities

  • sharing how historic homeowners can evaluate and analyze historic properties before purchasing or conducting work⁣

  • highlighting heritage properties for sale in the region⁣

  • explaining how you can advocate for preservation in your local government⁣
... And there are a few other awesome things planned in the near future! ⁣

Those of us who live in the Sandhills know how lucky we are to call this place home, and its historic properties are part of the charm that brought us here. Let’s celebrate and protect them for future generations to enjoy.

The Pines Preservation Guild is a 501(c3) organization. We are a proud member of the Federation of North Carolina Historical Societies.
