Come one and all for a full day of fun for a great cause.

All proceeds go to Cameron Historic Preservation, Inc., a non-profit* formed to help move the iconic 1892 McKeithen House, known by many as the beloved Miss Belle’s Antiques & Tea Room. If we raise enough funds to prevent demolition, the site of this Bash will be its new forever home. So bring a friend, bring a chair, and bring that giving spirit! Learn About Lustrons
Calling all Moore County midcentury enthusiasts - This event is for you!
Despite recent events, not all news related to Lustrons in Moore County is unfortunate.
Join us for a free event highlighting the history of Lustrons both nationwide and in Moore County. As a bonus, Preservation NC, NC Modernist, and The Pines Preservation Guild have been working hard to save some of the last remaining Lustron parts in Moore County, and we will be hosting a walk-through of the inventory that our organizations were recently able to salvage. Space will be limited, so please RSVP at the button below
Until 2020, there were at least four Lustrons in Moore County, two of which have been demolished just within the last 18 months. However, at one point an additional eight Lustron homes were located at the intersection of Aberdeen Rd and Old 211 near McCain NC. These eight structures were used to house McCain Sanitarium workers. In the 1980s three of those eight homes were purchased, disassembled, and put into storage by Mr. D.P. Black. After Mr. Black’s tragic death this past year, Preservation NC, NC Modernist, and The Pines Preservation Guild were able to work with his heirs to obtain the disassembled Lustron parts and move them into temporary storage in Carthage. This event will offer participants an option to walk through and view these pieces and learn where our organizations next steps in their stewardship.

Pines Preservation Guild Virtual Meet-up
The Pines Preservation Guild is a community-driven organization. But it's hard to keep things community-focused when you can't meet with your members. And a global pandemic doesn't help. ⠀
⠀
So we're hosting a socially distant meet-up. ⠀
⠀
Moore county residents: you’re invited to join us Thursday, July 9 at 8pm. We will be meeting via Google Meet to discuss the Guild, our mission, what's next, and how you can help out. We'd love for you to join us. We will also be answering any pressing questions you may have about preservation in general, which you can ask below. We are aiming to keep this initial meeting under an hour in order to accommodate everyone's schedule. ⠀
